Patch 8.2 was launched after yesterday's reset. With the release of Rise of Azshara, A new world has been opened to players from Battle for Azeroth. This week we will go into more detail about what you need to start putting your teeth into the contents of Patch 8.2, opening both new zones and getting the most out of your preparation for season 3.

Like with Battle for Dazar’alor and the switch to season 2, this last season of Battle for Azeroth officially ended with the regional restart this week. Although your weekly crates are viable for both PvP and PvE, both are Rated Player vs. this week. Player blocked as Mythic + Content. Season 3 starts on July 9th with a new Mythic + affix and a reset of the PvP leaderboards.

Until the start of that new season, both the player's equipment and certain pay drops are limited to a maximum item level of 420. After that, that ceiling is raised to 450, with an average of Mythic and Gladiator on ilvl 445.

Your first steps in it Emergence of Azshara will begin by venturing to Nazjatar and discovering the N’zoth conspiracy. This is the first piece of gateway content for the new patch, which is accessible after you unlock World Quests on your account. Don't worry about completing certain steps of the war campaign to launch important patch content. After logging in you will receive a breadcrumb tour to talk to the leader of your War Effort (Nathanos Blight caller or Genn Greymane). From there, your fleet will rush to the mysterious goal of the Horde.

Once you have been warmly invited to Naz'atar, your factions will be besieged by Queen Azshara's troops. She and her powerful armies want to find a certain relic in the possession of the Horde and control the Tidestone or Golganneth. With this they have opened the sea to the depths of Nazjatar and they can crush both factions if they wish. Thanks to the timely intervention of local troops, the two factions find refuge in the depth.

De Horde is assisted by the Unshackled. This apostate faction consisting of Gilgoblins, Makura and Sea Giants have united for their mutual survival. Step by step they worked to free themselves from the slavery of the Naga and to cut a house. The Alliance, on the other hand, is friends with the Waveblade strain of Ankoan. Originating from ancient Jinyu, these deep-sea fighters have been hunted by the Naga for generations. Driven to despair by the death of their leader and the looting of Mezzamere, they have arrived at the door of Azshara to wage a war for their survival.

After a series of introductory quests in Nazjatar, which introduce players to the new Benthic equipment system and various faction-related events, Magni Bronzebeard asks for your help. Now for the calculations of M.O.T.H.E.R. have been completed, he has found a way to give the Heart of Azeroth even more strength. His questline (which reintroduces a favorite character of mine) unlocks the Essences system.

Essences for the Heart of Azeroth work just like talents that can be connected. As your Heart grows in strength and levels up, it will unlock different talent slots from level 35. You can equip up to three unique essences at the same time, one of which gives you a new on-demand capability. They all have powerful passive effects, some of which introduce significant options for damage reduction or resource generation. Some Essences are currently available in the game, while others will be introduced with the launch of season 3. Each Essence has multiple grades and levels, with Rank 4 being the last. Each has more power between the rows, with the latest a flashy cosmetic effect.

If you're worried about leveling the heart of an alternative character, don't worry! If you complete this necklace to unlock the Heart Forge and Essences, your heart will automatically be boosted to level 35.

After completing both chains and returning to Nazjatar, you will have access to Mechagon. While the former is a highly World Quest and storyline powered zone, the latter is firmly based on exploring the entire land mass.

Mechagon is built just like the Timeless Island and opens itself exclusively to players through grinding and exploring. Dominated by the tyrannical king Mechagon, he and his mechagnomes invite an invitation to all who would sacrifice their flesh; join his kingdom, obey his regime and become a machine as the Titans intended. Those who disagree or disagree will be banned or worse. After a short introductory search, you quickly stand next to Prince Erazmin in a fight to free the soul of his people. Welcome to the Rustbolt resistance!

Your progress in Mechagon is driven by grinding mobs, crafting in Rustbolt and working on larger projects all over the island. Ultimately, you can create your own gadgets and cosmetic rewards, as well as trinkets and rings.

While these are the steps to unlock all new content for Patch 8.2, each content is synchronized differently. If you plan to concentrate more on the cosmetic aspects and sharpen at your own pace, then Mechagon is the place for you. While the factions of Nazjatar have a reputation that is locked by Daily Quests, the Rustbolt resistance can win through almost any zone-wide action. If you were so inclined, you could collect every mountain within a week.

However, if you want to maximize your equipment and improve your personal performance, you spend a heavy amount of time in each zone. Both the Rustbolt resistance and your new allied faction contain several Azerite Essences trapped by reputation. The new Benthic Gear system uses Pristine Manapearls, a currency that is shared with the Naziatar factions, which is used to purchase and strengthen your equipment. Likewise, trinkets and rings can only be obtained via Mechagon content. The new Pocket-Sized Computation Device is processed in the same way as Legion artifacts and will only increase in item levels with newer color-coded punch cards inserted.

The new Essences for the Heart of Azeroth can also not be ignored if you try to unlock one before the start of season 3. Although several have been closed in Mythic Chests or Conquests gravel (and therefore can only be done after the new season starts) ) are unlockable via reputation, missions and other gameplay areas. One of the few PvP essences can be unlocked on launch day by winning two battlefields and a PvP island expedition.

Patch 8.2 contains some more of the same, but for now there is at least enough fresh content to put us into the new season.
