Qualcomm introduced three new mobile platforms for mid-range smartphones – Snapdragon 730, 730G and 665.
The first single-chip platform, built on an 8-nm process technology, will succeed the Snapdragon 710, and the core is based on eight Kryo 470 cores. The Snapdragon 730 is also equipped with an Adreno 618 GPU, Hexagon 688 digital signal processor, Snapdragon X15 LTE modem and supports Wi standard -Fi 6. Many of these elements should help improve AI performance and increase productivity.
The second platform was the Snapdragon 730G, which is designed for gaming smartphones (G – gaming). She received the improved Adreno 618 GPU and will support phones with displays up to 1440p resolution and a special feature that reduces FPS drawdowns.
The latest novelty introduced, Snapdragon 665, is built on an 11-nm process technology. She received eight Kryo 260 cores with a frequency of up to 2.0 GHz, an Adreno 610 graphics processor, AI Engine AI processor, Spectra 165 image processor and support for triple cameras.
The first smartphones based on single-chip platforms Snapdragon 730, 730G and 665 should appear in mid-2019.
